Claudia Capizzi-Gay, Psy.D. 

Dr. Claudia Capizzi-Gay is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the treatment of adults with experiences of military and civilian trauma and PTSD, anxiety disorders (Social Anxiety, OCD, GAD, Panic, Phobias, Trichotillomania, Excoriation, Agoraphobia), and insomnia. Throughout her career she has trained at and worked for the Veterans Administration, the Department of Defense, and in private practice with active duty, military families, and civilians. A military spouse, she is especially passionate about working with current or prior service members and their families. Dr. Capizzi-Gay also enjoys working with first responders such as police, paramedics, EMTs, and fire fighters among other civilian populations. She is trained in and utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Prolonged Exposure and Response Prevention for PTSD and Anxiety Disorders (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and Imagery Rehearsal Therapy (IRT).  She believes in a collaborative approach to treatment, working together with her patients to help them learn the skills and tools to return to truly living their lives while integrating humor to have fun throughout the process.
